History of the Ouzoud Falls
The Ouzoud Falls are a series of impressive waterfalls over 100 meters high, located in the Middle Atlas, in the Azilal region. The name "Ouzoud" comes from the Berber term meaning "olive oil", as the region is famous for its production of this oil. The waterfalls are one of Morocco's top tourist attractions, and the surrounding area is ideal for hiking, boat trips, and observing local wildlife, including the monkeys that inhabit the area.
